This year, On Par for Pediatrics (formerly Camp Coco Golf Outing) continues the tradition of fun, food, and friendly competition, all in support of our young patients. Gather your friends for a day of golf, prizes, and a delicious dinner, all while making a meaningful difference. Proceeds from the outing help ease financial burdens for families of children receiving extended medical treatment by covering costs such as lodging, meals, and transportation

One Decade, 5,000 Babies

In the last 10 years, SIU’s Fertility and IVF Center has become the preferred option for couples dealing with infertility. This spring, the center celebrated 10 years of helping couples start their families. In that time, the center has maintained a reputation for superior quality patient care and a state-of-the-art embryology laboratory. Opioid Conference Offers Guidance For Health Care, Law Enforcement Professionals

The United States is in the midst of an opioid overdose epidemic. Opioids (including prescription opioids and heroin) killed more than 33,000 people in 2015, more than any year on record, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Nearly half of all opioid overdose deaths involve a prescription pain reliever. More Illinoisans die from opioid drug overdoses than from motor vehicle accidents or all gun-related causes. View a collection of origami donated to the Library by Nancy Graves MD, who finished her residency in psychiatry at SIU in 2009.
