National Social Work Month Conference on Ethics and Cultural Awareness

SIU School of Medicine and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Illinois Chapter hosted a conference on March 14 as part of National Social Work Month. Neuroscience Institute to Launch

Coordination to improve quality, lower costs Patients with complex brain and spine disorders may benefit from a new, multispecialty clinic at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. New aid available to transform health care in underserved communities

In March, Governor J.B. Pritzker signed into law a plan to transform health care in underserved communities, offering support to improve access and collaborations with the goal of greater equity. The State will invest $150 million using federal matching funds to fill health care gaps and focus on underlying health conditions in areas high on the CDC's social vulnerability index scale.
