Minds in Motion program preview

The Smith Alzheimer's Center is excited to bring its Minds in Motion program, designed for persons experiencing memory loss or dementia and their caregivers, to the NAACP. From brain games, music, exercise, art and more, the goal of Minds in Motion is to have activities using all five senses to improve or maintain mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Southern Illinois University School of Medicine's Neurology Symposium This symposium will address the recognition and management of common neurological problems and emergencies for primary care providers, hospitalists, Emergency Medicine providers and other non-neurologists. Participants will also learn how to conduct a neurological examination, determine the appropriate investigations to order, understand the significance of abnormal MRI findings and identify the need for referral to a neurologist.
