Alton Memorial Hospital

Alton Memorial Hospital (AMH) is part of the Barnes-Jewish-Christian (BJC) group. Since 1937, AMH has served the Alton and surrounding areas and sponsors the SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency Program. AMH serves as the primary site for hospital rotations during residency.
Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation

Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation (SIHF) is a large Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with practice locations across southern & central Illinois. SIHF’s Alton practice site, located in Medical Office Building B on the Alton Memorial Hospital campus, serves as one of the sites for the SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency clinical practice.
St. Louis Children's Hospital

Established in 1879 as a 15-bed facility in downtown St. Louis, SLCH is now a 350-bed institution offering a full range of pediatric services. Residents at the SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency Program complete inpatient pediatrics, pediatrics emergency department, and newborn nursery rotations at SLCH.
Madison County Health Department

SIU Medicine and SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency Program work closely with Madison County Health Department for community initiatives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we partnered to provide mobile testing to underserved communities throughout the service area.
BJC Medical Group

BJC Medical Group, a large multi-specialty outpatient practice across southern Illinois and the greater St. Louis and mid-Missouri areas, serves as one of the sites for the SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency clinical practice. The residency clinic is located in Medical Office Building A on the Alton Memorial Hospital campus.
