General Obstetrics and Gynecology

The Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology provides a wide range of consultation services for women of all ages, including, routine gynecologic exams, obstetric care, contraception and menopause management, breast and bone density screening, treatment for STDs and pelvic pain, sonography, colposcopy, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Our physicians have a large clinical practice that includes a diverse population, offering plenty of learning opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows.

Gynecologic Oncology

Expertise The Gynecological Oncology division, directed by Laurent Brard MD, PhD, provides women throughout Central and Southern Illinois with expert, specialized care for the treatment of all types of gynecologic cancers. Dr. Brard is a board certified Gynecological Oncologist who cares for more than 900 women per year from the region. We provide consultative services for SIU School of Medicine faculty and private practice physicians in Central/Southern Illinois. Maternal Fetal Medicine

Welcome to the Department of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at SIU Medicine. Our multidisciplinary team provides the highest quality care for women from central and southern Illinois facing complicated or high-risk pregnancies. Individuals who benefit from Maternal-Fetal Medicine include pregnant women experiencing gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, pre-term labor, fetal growth problems, previous miscarriages and multiple babies including twins and triplets. The core of the rare book collection was purchased from Dr. Morris Saffron, and is rich in works in venerology, dermatology, and the history of medicine. Three other collections of note are: Frank B. The ADR Office of Grants and Contracts reviews and processes subcontracts for vendors or other educational institutions that are associated with grant awards. Also, there is a referral to SIUSOM Legal for review to ensure legal compliance, proper formatting and securement of their guidance. ADR also reviews and processes subcontract amendments. Grant submission process and forms

All applications for external funding, letters of intent including budget information, and subcontracts/consortia submitted from SIU School of Medicine must be reviewed and approved before submission through the ADR Office. To allow sufficient time for application review and approval, the following due dates must be adhered: Please send an initial notification of intent to apply for any mechanism and the funding agency guidelines as far in advance as possible, at the very least, 2 weeks prior to the submission deadline. Forms due to the Grants Office by 8:00 AM two weeks before the submission
