The employee of the month for July is Christina Sanderfield, LPN II in the Department of Psychiatry. Her nominator said: “Tina is a valued employee. Implicit bias is the single most important determinant of health and health care disparities, argues author and lawyer Dayna Bowen Matthew. She will address questions of race, inequality and health care at the 2 nd Annual Alonzo Homer Kenniebrew, MD, Presentation on Health Inequities and Disparities. Keep Kids in School Coalition Offers Student Physicals Pre-K, Kindergarten, sixth, ninth graders need checkups

Springfield Public School District 186 students who have difficulty accessing medical care have more opportunities to get needed physicals and immunizations this summer, thanks to a coalition of area health care providers. Physicals are required for students entering pre-K, kindergarten, sixth or ninth grade, and students who are new to District 186.
