November 2016 Medical Students Working with Local Physicians

Family physicians in nine Illinois communities are hosting students from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine November 21 – December 16. The students are participating in the school’s Family Medicine Preceptorship Program. The experience provides an opportunity for students to use their medical knowledge in an office setting under the supervision of an experienced physician. The students choose from more than 160 family practice physicians in Illinois for their preceptorship experience. Now Accepting Submissions for QI Poster Symposium and Competition

Submission Deadline: January 15, 2018 Acceptance Notification: First week of February 2018 Poster Presentation and Reception will be held February 19, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the MCLI Nelson Auditorium. The SIU Graduate Medical Education Committee is proud to present the SIU SOM Quality Improvement Poster Symposium and Competition. But some patients and caregivers hope to change that by joining clinical trials for new drugs.
