The purpose of this research study is to assess the impact of the BSC penile prostheses devices on quality of life in men with erectile dysfunction through the use of questionnaires.  The study is an observation of your medical condition for a period of time after the initial implant of the device.

The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours, hosted by SIU Medicine, will be held on Thursday, December 8 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at 801 N. Rutledge St., on the second floor in the Bohn Nielsen Lobby. This networking event is free for all SIU Medicine employees, faculty and learners (badge required at check-in). Join us for cooking demonstrations, recipes, and sample tasting at the Salvation Army, 1600 E. Clear Lake Ave., Springfield, IL. These classes will be led by an SIU Medicine Registered Dietitian, Charlyn Ware. Individuals will have the option to make appointments with the dietitian for more nutrition education as well as an SIU General Internal Medicine physician for primary care. ThinkFirst Trivia Night 2024

Join us for a night of fun and friendly competition at the ThinkFirst inaugural trivia night on March 9! You’ll be supporting our efforts to prevent brain and spinal cord injuries, especially those caused by motor vehicle accidents. The doors will open at 6:00 pm, and the trivia will begin at 7:00 pm. Tables are for 8-10 people and $100 per table. There will also be a cash bar, prizes, a 50/50 raffle ( $1 for each or 6 for $5), and bring your table snacks! THRIVE- THerapeutic IntravasculaR Ultrasound (TIVUS™) REnal Denervation System vs. Sham for the Adjunctive Treatment of Hypertension

Active recruiting

The purpose of this clinical trial is to assess whether a medical device called the TIVUS System can lower high blood pressure in patients who are known to have hypertension. 

Eligible patients include those who currently have a diagnosis of high blood pressure despite having taken or currently taking anti-hypertensive medications.
