Research conducted by the Division of Vascular Surgery is done in conjunction with the SIU Center for Clinical Research. We participate in major clinical trials and participate in the Society for Vascular Surgery Quality Initiative (VQI). Our residents have presented at local, regional and national meetings, including posters and podium presentations.
During the residency program, each resident must complete at least one primary clinical or basic science research project. Prior to the completion of their final academic year, a completed manuscript must be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal.
