Neurology Resident Clinics

Neurology Residents' Clinic The Neurology Clinic is located on the 3rd Floor of the SIU Clinic’s Building, (Moy Building) 751 N. Rutledge, Room 3100. Continuity Clinics are held one half-day per week. Residents usually see 2 new patients and 4 or 5 follow up patients in each clinic. The combination changes as needed to accommodate the residents’ patient populations. Clinics should not be cancelled . How to Apply for Residency Positions Application Criteria: All candidates must apply through ERAS . No pre-match positions will be offered Preliminary year of training is provided. Applicants can be no more than 5 years post MD graduation. USMLE 1 and COMPLEX-USA Level 1 with Pass on the first try. USMLE 2 score must be at least 215 on the exam on the first attempt or COMLEX-USA 2 CE ≥ 500. We sponsor J1 Visa, no H1B. We offer 4 spots each year. Special Collections The Special Collections Department consists of rare books, archives, and a few manuscript collections, which relate to the history of medicine. The core of the rare book collection was purchased from Dr. Morris Saffron, and is rich in works in venerology, dermatology, and the history of medicine. Three other collections of note are: Frank B. Allen Ghareeb is a third year medical student from Peoria, IL. He graduated from Bradley University (2010) with a B.A. in Religious Studies and a B.S. in Biochemistry. Through his work with the MedED IG, Allen has developed a passion for medical education, and curriculum design. 2015 Outstanding Student Medical Educator As a fourth year medical student, Bryan Kidd, MD, was recognized as the inaugural recipient of the Medical Student Educator of the Year. Kidd graduated in May 2015 and is pursuing an anesthesiology residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals following a transitional year at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
