Please be advised that students accepted into the SIU School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program incur higher tuition rates than other SIU graduate students. Tuition rates are established by the SIU Board of Trustees and are competitive with other physician assistant programs. Students accepted into the PA Program will have expenses in addition to the university’s tuition and fees. The Division of Dermatology at SIU Medicine is committed to education, research, and patient care as it relates to the disease of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. Our division is focused on the education of future physicians and scientists in the field of dermatology, as dermatologists diagnose and treat more than 3,000 different diseases. How to apply

Instructions Complete a PA Program application using CASPA . Have earned Grade Point Averages (GPA) of 3.4 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher, on the following: overall coursework and science coursework. CASPA calculates these two GPAs. Have an earned GPA of 3.4 or higher on program prerequisites as calculated by SIU. Complete required prerequisite coursework by the end of the Fall term prior to matriculation with a grade of "B" or higher. Only one prerequisite course, plus medical terminology, may be completed during the Spring Semester before matriculation. Provide evidence of patient care

Please note: This information is subject to change. All applicants must meet the admission requirements of SIU Graduate School. Applicants to the 26-month, 7-semester Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPA) Program must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by the time of matriculation to the graduate PA Program. The objective of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals is to provide residents with the educational opportunity to become fully competent in the practice and principles of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
