Do you remember your residency interviews? Would you like to help out a student who will visit your area for his or her own interview? The Helping Our Students To Succeed (HOSTS) program matches SOM alumni volunteers across the country with SIU School of Medicine fourth-year medical students who are in need of complimentary overnight accommodations while attending their residency interviews. Hematology and Oncology introduction and goals

The Southern Illinois University School of Medicine's Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship is a 3-year program. We are an ACGME accredited program for a maximum of 6 fellows and accept two fellows each academic year. Our program accepts applications only through ERAS and does not accept H1B visas. We will be participating in the national fellowship match which opens August 21, 2024, and the deadline to apply is August 31, 2024. We will have 2 positions open for the 2025-2026 academic year. Our interviews will be in person and take place on Fridays in late August through September. Match

Hematology request form

Requests should be submitted at least two days before the submission date. At least 75ul of EDTA preserved blood is recommended for each sample. Samples should be collected and submitted on the same day. A separate submission form for each species and strain is required. Please be sure to type or print clearly.
