Would you like to help out a student who will visit your area for his or her residency interview by providing a place to stay? The Helping Our Students To Succeed (HOSTS) program matches SOM alumni volunteers across the country with SIU School of Medicine fourth-year medical students who are in need of complimentary overnight accommodations while attending their residency interviews. Residency travel dates typically occur during the months September through January. The Correctional Medicine IDOC COVID-19 Help Line will be operational 24-hours a day during the pandemic The Office of Correctional Medicine, in partnership with the Department of Internal Medicine, recently established a dedicated COVID-19 hotline for the Illinois Department of Corrections to assist with managing the health and well-being of its workforce during this difficult time.
