Injury Prevention Messages Resume Under ThinkFirst

Teenagers, children and other community members will once again hear messages of safe driving and injury prevention through ThinkFirst , a national injury prevention program. The local chapter of ThinkFirst has resumed work under the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. The program, funded by grants from the Illinois Department of Transportation, was suspended in February due to the lack of state funds. Innovation Competition Awards Taking Nominations

UIS, Innovate Springfield & SIU Medicine to host inaugural event celebrating research, health care, others SPRINGFIELD – The University of Illinois Springfield, Innovate Springfield and the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine will host the first Illinois Capital Innovation Competition Awards. Institute for Plastic Surgery opens office in Decatur

The Institute for Plastic Surgery has partnered with Decatur Memorial Hospital to expand its services to Macon County and the surrounding area.
