Physiology Reproductive Biology Research

The Division of Molecular and Integrative Physiology includes basic research in the area of reproductive biology and focuses on the entire reproductive axis. Physiology faculty investigate fundamental issues of male and female fertility at the molecular and cellular levels and using whole animal approaches. Research interests include development of the brain, pituitary gland, genitalia, gonads, placenta and reproductive tract. Studies extend to neural and hormonal control of reproductive function, environmental influences on reproduction and the establishment and maintenance of pregnancy
