REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture)
Research Electronic Data Capture, or REDCap, is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. REDCap can be used to collect virtually any data type to support online or offline data capture for research studies and operations
SIU School of Medicine has a business agreement with Vanderbilt University allowing SIU-SOM REDCap projects and data to be stored at Vanderbilt. The Stats Core, within the Center for Clinical Research, will set-up each REDCap project, create and maintain all data entry instruments, create system accounts and maintain user rights, import preexisting data, and facilitate various other REDCap tasks. The Stats Core will periodically download data and data dictionaries to maintain ‘in-house’ back-ups while projects are stored at Vanderbilt University.
The Stats Core is also available to conduct data analysis for School of Medicine REDCap projects.
If you have any questions, or are interested in using REDCap, please contact Joseph Milbrandt, PhD, Director of the Center for Clinical Research, at 217-545-7811 or email@example.com.
