The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training program at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is part of a combined General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) 5-year integrated program. Applicants will typically apply right out of medical school and commit to doing both general psychiatry and CAP at the same program. The first 3 years of the program will be mostly adult psychiatry with a few CAP rotations intermixed. During the internship year the experiences will be in pediatrics and family medicine.
