Model Casting Call Colors of Health Fashion Show Friday, September 6, 2024 Hoogland Center for the Arts Showtime from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Models will work with with a modeling trainer and stylist to strut for better health. Funds raised will benefit a local charity that highlights the AWIMS 2024 focus. Models will be selected to be a part of a fashion show that brings awareness to health matters that have a significant impact on women. The Southern Illinois University Program in Colorectal Surgery is a collaborative educational program involving academic and private colorectal surgeons who joined together in a program designed to provide excellent postgraduate training in the current practice of colorectal surgery. The catchment area for the Southern Illinois University Program in Colorectal Surgery encompasses the southern two-thirds of Illinois and includes both urban and rural populations. Colorectal at-home cancer screening kit distribution. Use our easy "drive-thru" to pick up your free colorectal screening kit. Enter the drive and stay in your vehicle. We will bring your kit to you. The kit contains instructions and supplies for participants to collect a stool sample. Return completed kits via a postage-paid envelope. Test results will be sent by mail in three to four weeks. *Kits will be available while supplies last and must be returned within 10 days of pickup.

Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU Medicine is distributing no-cost colorectal cancer screening kits that area residents can use in the privacy of their homes. A drive-thru give-away will be held on Wednesday, March 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the lunchtime crowd, and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the evening crowd. Participants can pull into the circle drive located at 315 West Carpenter Street and remain in their vehicle while a kit is brought to them. Each person is allowed one kit and the kit's return shipping will be sponsored so there's no cost to the patient. Kits must be returned within 10 days
