Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes alumni who have made an outstanding commitment to the health and welfare of their patients and their community, as well as for humanitarian activities (community setting) or who have made outstanding contributions to medicine and distinguished service to mankind (academic/research medicine). The Alumni Achievement Award recognizes significant career contributions through clinical service, research, education, public or professional service and/or administrative leadership (no longer than 15 years following graduation) of his/her career. Diversity Lecture to Highlight Link Between Medical Education, Patient Health

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is hosting an inaugural lecture to commemorate the life of a groundbreaking central Illinois physician. The lecture is part of the Alonzo Homer Kenniebrew, MD Forum on Health Inequities and Disparities, a new annual discussion of health disparities and other factors that impact population health. The lecture is free and open to the public. Kendall Campb ell, MD, will deliver the keynote address from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31.
