Racism's Threat to Public Health - a Message from the Dean

On April 6, 2020, my message to SIU Medicine employees focused on racial inequities in the delivery of health care, racial disparities in health care outcomes, and the overt and implicit systemic racism that lies at the root of these inequities and disparities for African Americans. Radiance US GPS: The Global Paradise® System US Post Approval Study

Active recruiting

The purpose of this clinical study is to evaluate the real-world use of the Paradise Ultrasound Renal Denervation System indicated for patients who are unable to lower their blood pressure with lifestyle changes and medication.

Eligible patients include those who currently have a diagnosis of high blood pressure despite having taken or are currently taking anti-hypertensive medications.

The RCC meets to discuss current issues and evaluates applications to possess and use radioactive materials, x-ray, and laser radiation producing devices. Protocols are to be submitted to Joel Reichensperger in the Office of Radiological Control located at 801 N. Rutledge, Room 1049. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Radical Change: Y3T a Success

Summer 2017 marked the end of the first year of the new third year curriculum. Dubbed the Year 3 Transformation, (Y3T), it was the first update to the SIU School of Medicine curriculum in more than a dozen years, developed through a $577,000 Macy Foundation grant awarded in 2014.
