Our program is dedicated to the principles and practice of family medicine. Each resident is given primary responsibility for a diverse patient population. Faculty at SIU Family Medicine Residency Program - Quincy emphasize all areas of family care - including health promotion and preventive medicine, disease screening and diagnostic detection, management of chronic illness, and the impact of psychosocial factors upon health and disease. Special efforts are made by the faculty to teach the clinical decision-making process, effectively preparing each resident for a lifetime of learning as a family physician.
