Join us for Reunion 2024!
What does that mean?
When a milestone reunion comes up for your class, it is time to get together with just your classmates!
How do we start?
Alumni Relations helps your Class Champion Committee put together surveys to send out to your classmates to see what months/dates work, what location everyone is interested in traveling to, and what activities people want to do.
Where can we go?
Anywhere! East Coast, West Coast, a Caribbean cruise, or back to Springfield - the choice is yours!
What dates?
Reunions can be held between April and November of your milestone year.
What can we do?
Anything! Some ideas that classes are doing this year:
Attending Cubs vs. Cardinals baseball games
Doing landmark tours like Fort Sumter and the Space Needle
Party buses to wineries and breweries
Theater shows
Group hikes
Group brunches, lunches & dinners

The Class of 1980 is celebrating their 45-year reunion in Charleston, SC!

SATURDAY, JUNE 22 | 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Parking for the Memorial Learning Center is free in the attached lot, as well as in in the garage across the street. No ticket or validation is needed.
Alumni Stories Pancake & Mimosa Breakfast
8 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Enjoy unlimited pancakes, sausage, fruit, mimosas, juice and coffee while you listen to alums share their stories and memories. Sharing will be spontaneous with a microphone being passed.
Medical Student Panel
9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Current medical students from years 1-4 will discuss trends in education, the evolution of experiential learning, life on campus, and more. Moderated by Dr. Haneme Idrizi (Class of 2003) Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Admissions.
Memory Lane Campus Tour
10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Walk through various points of interest on the SIU SOM campus. Led by Dr. Christopher McDowell (Class of 2005), Executive Associate Dean of SIU SOM.
SATURDAY, JUNE 22 | 12 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Will your classmates gather for lunch?
Want to have a picnic at a park?
It is your choice!
Hang out with your classmates until it's time to celebrate at the Orr Building!
We want your photos!
Dig deep to find your med school photos &
send us pics of what you’ve been doing since graduation!
Send us any and all photos (current or past) to be shared in your Decades District.
We will not be creating a Memory Book for you to look at this year, rather you will be stepping INTO a Memory Book!
We will still provide you with a flash drive of all photos from your classmates, if desired.

Enter through Gate 9 for the easiest access to the Orr Building. Parking will be ample and free on the east side of the building.
Enjoy the afternoon and evening celebration with your children, then take advantage of our childcare so you can enjoy the night with your classmates!
