Emergency Medicine Alumni

"Nobody wants to be a patient in their own emergency department, but that was me!" says ER doctor Christopher McDowell. During the winter months, the SIU School of Medicine alum had slipped on a patch of ice, fractured his ankle and underwent surgery. "I can't say enough about what everyone did to take great care of me. Our graduates, no matter where they work, when they come back to this region, they are here to take great care of their patients and we're fortunate to have them- and now I know that even more so as a patient myself."
