Medical Students Working with Local Physicians

Family physicians in eight Illinois communities are hosting students from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine January 3 – January 27. The students are participating in the school’s Family Medicine Preceptorship Program. MEDPREP 2017 Certificate Ceremony and Banquet celebrates departing MEDPREP students

The 2017 MEDPREP Certficate Ceremony and Banquet, "Keys to Success," was held on April 30, 2017 in the SIUC Student Center Ballrooms. 32 MEDPREP students, who started in the summer of 2015, were honored for their hard work in the program over the past two years. Students in the class gained admission to a total of 22 different dental and medical schools, including the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. MEDPREP Curriculum

Curriculum MEDPREP students complete a rigorous academic program consisting of required and elective courses taught by MEDPREP faculty, in conjunction with supplementary upper-division science courses offered by other departments on the SIUC campus. Each student’s program is uniquely designed in consultation with a MEDPREP advisor to prepare the student for medical, dental or PA school matriculation.
