OB-GYN is focused on the care of women and their reproductive organs. Services for patients include general obstetrics & gynecology, high-risk obstetrics or maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, fertility, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, advanced pelvic reconstruction and women’s wellness.

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is committed to the health and well-being of the women of central and southern Illinois while training future women's health providers to deliver clinically competent, evidence-based, euitable and compassionate care.

We are proud that many of our medical students and residents remain in this region after completing our program and are now providing essential services to their communities. In addition to our clinics at SIU Medicine in Springfield, we offer outreach clinics in general obstetrics and gynecology in Litchfield and Jacksonville.
