OB-GYN is focused on the care of women and their reproductive organs. Services for patients include general obstetrics & gynecology, high-risk obstetrics or maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, fertility, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, advanced pelvic reconstruction and women’s wellness.

Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health at SIU Medicine. Our department's dedicated and caring physicians provide a full range of outstanding health care services to women of all ages.

Our department is committed to the health and well-being of the women of central and southern Illinois. We are proud that many of our residents have remained in this region after completing our program and that they are now providing an essential service to their communities. In addition to our clinics at SIUMedicine in Springfield, we now offer outreach clinics in general obstetrics and gynecology in Litchfield and Jacksonville, as well as an IVF clinic in Champaign. Our goal is to provide more outreach clinics in our other sub-specialties.

As faculty members of the SIU School of Medicine, we are committed to training our medical students and resident physicians to become excellent obstetrician-gynecologists. Furthermore, our scientists are actively engaged in innovative research that uses basic, clinical and translational approaches to improve the health of women and children.
