Physician Wellness

Physician Wellness

Physician burnout and depression seem to be prevalent in our society as a whole these days. The SIU SOM Alumni Society board has established a Physician Wellness Committee to look at ways we might be of assistance to our alumni, residents/fellows, and students. Excessive workloads, negative workplace culture, poor work/life balance, and perceived lack of autonomy in one’s work and/or study can all contribute to a feeling of isolation.

Purpose: To assist our alumni across the globe, residents, and students with a support system from their alma mater.
